Hayes Hosts First MDaudit™ User Group Meeting

Hayes Management Consulting held its first MDaudit™ user group meeting April 22, in Chicago, alongside the annual HCCA conference. In attendance were 21 MDaudit™ users representing 16 healthcare organizations across the country.

Peter Butler presented the vision for Hayes which includes “a significant investment in Hayes’ Products Division and MDaudit™.” Butler noted that MDaudit™ clients are taking advantage of other Hayes consulting services as they streamline operations across the enterprise. “We are happy to see that our clients are implementing electronic health records and improving their revenue cycles using premiere technologies such as GE/IDX, Epic and Allscripts,” said Butler. “It is clear that these clients are committed to improvement across the board.”

MDaudit™ 3.0, due out later this summer, features a flexible auditing capability which allows auditors to focus on additional areas of risk. A new Coding Utilization module, due out Spring 2008, allows auditors to compare their physicians’ billing data to national and/or regional normative data.

“We were thrilled with the positive feedback on the meeting and the suggestions for further product enhancements,” said George Andrew, Manager, Products Division, “We are happy that users are experiencing such a return on their investment, and we look forward to their active involvement in future releases.”

Users shared their experiences with the product, traded tips and best practices and suggested improvements. “The initial MDaudit™ users’ group meeting was a wonderful opportunity to meet other MDaudit™ users, hear about their programs, and learn from their experiences,” said Richard Saint Onge, Assistant Vice Chancellor for Health Affairs at University of Texas System. “We also received valuable insight into the future plans for MDaudit™ and we were able to provide our thoughts and ideas.”
