Hayes is currently extending its expertise beyond physician groups and hospitals to a Fortune 100 high-tech company located in the California bay area. Known for its innovation, the company asked Hayes to help them with the development of a unique employee health clinic.
The client’s vision is to develop an innovative, consumer-centric health center for employees, their dependents and significant others. The vision goes beyond incremental improvement. In this health center, patients will receive RFID tags, allowing receptionists to greet the patients by name as they enter the lobby. The facility will have digital signage to direct patients to their care suite. As a patient enters the care suite, his/her favorite music will begin to play and the transparent glass wall in the suite will become frosted for privacy!
The employee clinic will be a paperless environment where results from scales, blood pressure monitors, treadmills, EKG devices, and more will populate the electronic medical record – which will automatically be shown on a 42’ plasma touch screen monitor. This will enable patient and physician to view the medical record together, access reference materials, view x-rays, get medical information such as educational videos, consult with a physician in another location, or check on the patient's children being entertained by TV or video games in the next room.
Closely observed by the company’s senior leadership, the project is top priority for this client. Hayes is excited to be part of this pioneering new effort in healthcare.
The Hayes team is being led by Kathleen Gaffney and Don Michaels.
