| As you might expect, I am very pleased with our results this year in KLAS. This is the first year we have ranked #1 overall in KLAS in addition to winning in two categories: Planning & Assessment and Technical Consulting. So thanks to everyone who took the time to share their experience with Hayes. We pride ourselves on customer service, and your honest feedback is invaluable, whether it is through a KLAS survey or directly. We welcome and appreciate it.
As we move into our 15th year of business, those of us who have been here all that time can’t help but think of the changes in healthcare along the way. While information technology used to be the domain of IT staff, it is now one of the vehicles that is transforming healthcare and helping to meet the goals of the executives managing today’s healthcare organizations.
Industry imperatives such as patient safety, cost containment and quality cannot be realized without efficient business processes, accurate data, good technology and seamless throughput. There is no longer time for re-work, redundant processes, inefficient workflow or systems that do not interface with each other. It is not only frustrating, but allows room for error that is not acceptable.
There is a lot of work still to do. And while there many constituents – administrators, physicians, staff, consultants, etc. - all of us have the common goal of making patient care the best it can be. Hayes consultants are out there every day helping our clients achieve this goal. We are very excited to be contributing in a meaningful way to these very important changes in our industry.
We look forward to working with you in 2008. Meanwhile, have a happy and safe holiday season.
