Newton, MA, December 7, 2009 – Hayes Management Consulting announced today the latest addition to its MDaudit suite of audit automation software. MDaudit™ Hospital enables assessment of compliance risk with the click of a mouse, internal audit review on Recovery Audit Contractors (RACs) targets, and comparison of findings to determine appeal strategy. This software was developed in partnership with University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, Loma Linda University Medical Center and University of Missouri Health Care. MDaudit Hospital leverages the success of its physician practice counterpart, MDaudit Professional, which is in use in over half of the “honor roll” of top healthcare organizations as ranked by US News & World Report. Hayes is conducting a webinar demonstration of MDaudit Hospital on December 15, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. ET. Without the software, we would have to reduce the number of audits, or add additional FTEs,” says Beth Elwell, Executive Director of Compliance at Loma Linda University Medical Center. “MDaudit Hospital automates the prior manual processes of running reports, validating the data, choosing a sample, and writing the audit report. This feature frees up the auditors’ time to provide training and perform additional audits.” “We designed MDaudit Hospital to support the development of risk assessments and the appeals process rather than track the RACs when they are already there.” explains Pete Butler, President of Hayes Management Consulting. “Like MDaudit Professional, this software solution improves the quality of the auditing process, which also has a positive impact on the revenue cycle.” MDaudit Hospital allows hospitals and medical centers to: Proactively approach external audits
Accelerate the process
