Founder and Chairman
Paul has more than thirty years of experience improving quality and efficiency in the organizational processes that support the delivery of healthcare services. Paul prides himself on his ability to hire great people who are "the key ingredient for successful client engagements." In addition, Paul believes that the best way to provide good service is to concentrate on developing a long term relationships with clients. Since Paul founded Hayes in 1993, the company has grown from an entrepreneurial consulting firm to an award-winning leader that works with many of the country's largest, most prestigious health care organizations. Peter J. Butler,

President & CEO
Pete has spent his entire career in healthcare systems and operations improvement. As president of the company, Pete now focuses on driving growth and improving Hayes' service offering. A champion of "The Hayes Way," Pete encourages company-wide collaboration and access. "At Hayes, we work hard to ensure constant and open communication – between the client and consultants, between the client and any of our senior staff, and amongst our consultants too. Questions get answered promptly, best practices are identified and shared, and problems are resolved as quickly as possible." Andy Treanor,

Chief Operating Officer
Andy joined the Hayes team after 17 years as a senior leader at GE Healthcare formerly IDX Systems. While at GE/IDX, Andy experienced healthcare operations both as a user of world class technology and as a supplier of that technology to end users. He now leads Hayes' Technology Solutions group, which provides interoperability and programming support to Hayes clients. He also heads up the products division, which includes MDaudit. Andy finds that "Our software and service helps identify and drive operational improvements with accuracy, productivity and efficiency." Andy Treanor

Tracy Welsh,

Vice President, Ambulatory Services
Tracy leads the Ambulatory Services group at Hayes which is comprised of Clinical and Business Services subject matter experts. A former healthcare IT consultant who has been with Hayes for the past 11 years, she is responsible for managing her team's projects to secure delivery excellence. Tracy's experience in project management helps to ensure projects are completed successfully and within budget. "I think it's important to develop a trusting relationship with our clients so they know I'm working with their best interest in mind," says Tracy. Tracy Welsh

Don Michaels,

Ph.D., Senior Vice President
Don has extensive experience working with all types of healthcare provider organizations in various capacities. A retired partner at one of the Big 4 accounting/consulting firms, Don leads the strategic consulting practice at Hayes. Don believes that "one of our most valuable services is to act as the facilitator for key decision makers as they work through complex processes." Don also serves on the faculty of the Harvard School of Public Health where he teaches healthcare IT. Don Michaels

Rob Drewniak,

Director, Strategic & Advisory Services
Rob leads the strategic & advisory services group at Hayes. Previous to this role, Rob was one of Hayes’ senior strategists, guiding clients through IT strategic planning and prioritization, serving as Interim CIO, and assisting with other strategic engagements. Prior to Hayes, Rob was a consultant at Accenture and Pricewaterhouse Coopers (PwC). He also served as director and vice president in two western region hospitals. Rob Drewniak

George Andrew,

Director, Product Development and Support

George has 20 years of experience in healthcare technology; the last eight with Hayes. He has direct responsibility for the development and support of the company’s software products. Prior to Hayes, he worked at GE Healthcare (IDX at that time) as Group Manager of Information Systems, where he led efforts to incorporate developing technologies into marketing, education and service delivery. “I have always looked for ways to increase the effectiveness of knowledge workers through the utilization of technology. People are hired for their knowledge and skill, and we develop applications that allow them to spend more time applying their talents.” George Andrew

Anita Archer,

Director, Regulatory and Compliance
   
Anita leads Hayes’ Regulatory and Compliance Services division. She brings a tremendous blend of multi-specialty billing and revenue cycle management, project management, & system implementation experience. Her expertise further includes: education for multi-disciplinary healthcare professionals, and development and leadership of ICD-10 planning, migration and education services. Her team and Hayes clients benefit from Anita's 28 years in the industry, her extensive subject matter knowledge, management skills and ability to build relationships with all levels of health care management.  Anita is also an AAPC certified coder, an AHIMA credentialed ICD-10/PCS certificate holder and a member of the AHIMA Physician’s Practice Counsel. Sharon Christoforakis,

Director, Revenue Cycle Services
Rob Drewniak
Sharon leads the revenue cycle practice at Hayes. She has 27 years of experience in revenue cycle strategy and execution. Prior to Hayes, Sharon served as Senior Vice President of Revenue Operations at ABQ Health Partners, the largest physician-owned medical group in the Southwest. Before ABQ, she worked for PricewaterhouseCoopers for twelve and a half years and worked extensively on consulting engagements that were focused on improving each client’s financial status through improved revenue cycle processes. John Cronin,

Director, Resource Management
John has worked in the healthcare information systems sector for more than 30 years. At Hayes, John is the Director of Resource Management, and  is responsible for ensuring optimal levels of resource utilization across all delivery lines of business, ongoing maturity of the company’s program and project management capabilities, strategic planning and operational management. According to John, "It's my job to match the right consultants to specific projects, and to make sure that any roadblocks to our clients' success are removed promptly." To do this, John draws on his extensive subject matter knowledge, management skills and ability to build relationships with all levels of health care management. John Cronin
Amitav Hajra, Director, Inpatient Services
Amit leads the Inpatient Services group at Hayes.  He has more than fifteen years’ experience in the healthcare industry, on both the vendor and client sides, with an emphasis on clinical systems from Epic Systems Corporation. He has directed several large, complex healthcare IT projects at hospitals throughout the country and has utilized his leadership, planning and technical skills to successfully lead hospital IT teams through aggressive implementation and optimization initiatives. Amit has a particular interest in process improvement for both software projects and hospital operations.  Among his prior experience, he helped project teams become more efficient and was able to reduce implementation and optimization times by 25-50% from the original forecasts. “I enjoy making a difference in healthcare,” says Amit, “by helping improve patient care through technology.” Amit Hajra
